Text channel scrolls horizontally past 1790 characters

Long text in a channel should wrap onto new lines instead of extending the channel horizontally. Once the content exceeds about 1790 characters, the channel grows to the right rather than down, making the content unreadable. A screen recording of the behavior is attached to the ticket.
