Tell us how we could make Flackle more useful to you.
Have something to say?
Entering an invalid or nonexistent channel URL causes flackle to become stuck on a loading screen
how to reproduce: open flackle while logged on (on browser) navigate to a valid server channel modify the url to an invalid channel path press enter loading screen console errors: GET /api/servers/[INVALID_ID]/channels 400 (Bad Request) GET /api/servers/[INVALID_ID]/permissions/@me 400 (Bad Request) GET /api/servers/[INVALID_ID]/channel-settings 400 (Bad Request)
Offsite Confirmation when clicking links in server's
On full profiles, when navigating to an offsite website, a confirmation pops up. this doesn’t happen on regular servers, and I don’t really see a reason as to why it shouldn’t. however, if users do find it to be inconvenient, a setting could be implemented to disable the confirmation.
Private Channels past pings show as @'s when un-privated
this bug causes users to see a private channels past pings as notifications when the channel is un-privated. how to reproduce: make a private channel ping users un-private the channel the users who could not see the channel will now receive the pings.
Infinite client-sided friend req's can be sent to blocked users
this bug causes users to be able to send infinite friend req’s without having to stop. none of these friend req’s appear in either user’s pending. how to reproduce: block a user send them as many friend req’s as you want
Friend requests don't auto revoke after being blocked
this bug causes friend requests to still appear as pending after blocking a user. how to reproduce: send a friend request to a user block that user for that user, your friend request will appear as pending. on your side, it won’t appear in requests.
Blocked message stops showing past character limit
This bug causes all current ‘You cannot send messages to this user because you are blocked’ to disappear. it also shows the message failing, but no error about being blocked comes up. the blocked message comes up when under the character limit. over the character limit: the blocked message completely disappears.

Add guild tags similar to Discord, allowing users to display a custom tag next to their username to represent the communities they belong to, with exclusive perks and profile features for guild members. (lots of people would use this if im being honest lol)
Badges
It would be cool to introduce a profile badge system similar to Discord (that isn’t officially out) letting users to display badges next to their profile information to showcase achievements, milestones and/or affiliations. Badges could be earned through platform activity, special events, supporting Flackle in Beta, or being an early member. This would add more personality to profiles and give users something to work towards while making profiles feel more unique.
User remains in call despite logging out
this bug causes the user to remain inside of a vc after logging out. they can stay in that vc for an unknown amount of time. video example:
Category Movement bug
this bug causes category movement to be extremely bad. when all categories are collapsed, category movement is perfect. however, the farther the cursor moves to the right while still holding the category, the worse movement is. when all categories are open, category movement isn’t the greatest. it’s a tad bit laggy, and hard to between other categories. when the cursor is moved to the right, the movement becomes pretty much unusable.
Member list shows only permitted users after channel permission change
this bug causes the user to see only permitted users as a part of the member list. this bug occurs after a channel permissions change. also, if a admins roles are revoked during the privatization of the channel, then they will still show up in the member list, just as a non-admin.
Admins cannot move non-admin users into private vc's.
admins in server’s cannot move users without private channel permissions into a private channel. console reports: POST /api/servers/.../voice/members/.../move 403 (Forbidden) Uncaught (in promise) Error: Voice session is no longer authorized at moveMember(...) if a channel becomes private while a regular user is inside it, the regular user will just be kicked. console reports: GET /api/voice/sfu/catalog 403 (Forbidden) GET /api/voice/sfu/e2ee 403 (Forbidden) POST /api/voice/sfu/e2ee 403 (Forbidden)
Password Change on Desktop
When going over the limit of password failures, browser shows ‘too many attempts’, but desktop shows ‘unable to refresh your session right now’.
Password change allows reuse
users can change their passwords to the exact same password they are already using without a error. (emails don’t allow this, so I assumed it was a bug)
Infinite loading screen after auth error
this bug causes users to be stuck on an infinite loading screen. the console shows HTTP 401 responses from /api/auth/me and /api/auth/refresh, along with an HTTP 404 response from /api/users/@me/badge-count. this bug was found on browser how to reproduce: open flackle in 2 different tabs log in to the same account on both tabs log out on one tab, then log in on the other when it signs you out. log in on the orginal tab screen is stuck infinitely loading
Server Tab bug
this bug was tested on desktop, not browser, so I don’t know if it happens on there. this bug makes the server tab unusable until a server is moved. I have no idea how i’m doing this bug, but I was able to recreate it a few times. here’s the video:
edited message error
A message that is edited and goes over 3,903 characters will produce an error: A message that is 3,903 characters or less will just auto revert to its pre-edited state. [WS] Disconnected: 1009 [WS] Reconnecting in 1000ms (attempt 1) [WS] Connected [WS] Hello received, v=1 this is what the console reads after going over 3,903 characters on an edited message.
Mute state not synced from desktop to browser
Mute state applied in the desktop app should sync to the browser client, including after a refresh. Currently a user muted on desktop remains unmuted in the browser session, while the mute continues to apply on desktop.
Revoked friend requests still show pending on desktop
Revoking a friend request should remove it from the pending list across all clients. Currently, when a request is sent and then revoked in the browser, it still shows as pending in the desktop app, and the same occurs when the revocation is done from the desktop app instead. Pending friend requests appear out of sync between the browser and desktop clients.
Special Badges for Staff, Early Access Members, Subscribers, & Verified Users
Hi Flackle Team, I’d like to suggest introducing a special badge system on Flackle to recognize different types of users and their contributions to the platform. It would be great to have unique badges for different account categories, such as: Official Flackle Staff: Exclusive badges for official team members, developers, moderators, and other staff, making it easier to identify people who officially represent Flackle. Early Access Members: Special badges for users who participated in closed betas, testing phases, or early access programs, recognizing their support and feedback during development. Subscribers and Supporters: Exclusive badges for users with an active subscription or those who support Flackle, with different badge designs depending on their membership tier. Verified Creators: Verification badges for streamers, content creators, influencers, and other notable individuals to help confirm the authenticity of their accounts. Community Contributors: Special badges for users who regularly contribute valuable feedback, help other members, report bugs, or make meaningful contributions to the Flackle community. Event and Achievement Badges: Limited-edition badges for participating in special events, celebrating platform anniversaries, or reaching specific milestones. It would be even better if each badge had its own unique design, color, or subtle animation, with the option to display it next to a user's name in profiles, chats, friend lists, and servers. For verification badges, I think it would be important to have a proper verification process to prevent impersonation. Similarly, staff badges should only be assigned by Flackle, and subscription badges should accurately reflect the user's current membership status. I believe this system would give users more ways to express their identity, recognize their contributions, and celebrate their involvement with Flackle. It could also make the platform feel more rewarding and give early supporters and community members something special to show off. Thank you for considering this suggestion!
